Fancy toddler Easter dresses are, for many families, a traditional part of this spring holiday.  Most Easter dresses are offered in whites and pastels to celebrate the coming season and a break from the drab colors that dominate winter dressing.  The right Easter dress is the one that both you and your toddler will love, and one that will be remembered fondly through pictures of the day.  While adult styles change from season to season, there are a few aspects of toddler Easter dresses that remain perennially popular.

White is still by far the most common color for Easter dresses.  One of the main reasons for its continued popularity is the special nature of the color itself.  As every parent knows, white dresses are a rarity for children with good reason.  While they do not hold up well with regular use, a beautiful fresh white dress is a great choice to be worn for a day.  Easter activities are generally well monitored, which will increase the chances that such a dress will survive the day.  Dresses that are embellished with trims or lace are loved by toddlers, and this detail work will make the dress that much more memorable.

Pastels are another popular option for Easter dressing.  Pinks are a traditional choice for toddler girls, but greens and blues are a unique choice that is still appropriate for the day.  When choosing the cut of the dress, it is important that you allow for freedom of movement.  This will ensure that you child will have fun wearing the dress and be able to take part in all Easter activities like hunting for baskets and eggs.  For this reason, it is wise to opt for a knee length style.  Not only will this enable your child to move with ease, but it will also reduce the risk of staining or wear around the hem. Of course, the best toddler Easter dresses are those that are accessorized with bonnets, gloves or shoes.  While some may find this look too precious, most toddlers love the grown up feeling that these accessories lend any outfit.
