If you are wondering what type of jewelry to give your girlfriend or wife for Valentine’s day, have you considered buying a charm bracelet? The great thing about charm bracelets is that you can add to them over time, and you do not need to give a completed bracelet as a gift in order for it to look nice.

There are many different styles of charm bracelets, ranging from Pandora charm bracelets to Italian charm bracelets, there are gold charm bracelets, silver charm bracelets, and charms that are slipped over a leather band.  Of course charm bracelets these days are fashion jewelry, and people no longer wear them for the wonderful powers or protection they give. That would be the perfect gift for someone who was going off to university for the first time, or preparing to travel or was getting a new position.  So, in effect, you can actually find a specific charm that would really be appropriate to someone and give them that if you wanted to.

Alternatively you can simply buy a whole batch of charms that are somewhat color coordinated and arrange those on a bracelet, and give that as a gift. Popular color combinations include red and green for Christmas bracelets, earth colored browns and greens arranged on a warm gold bracelet, alternating silver and blue beads for a fun Winter look bracelet.  Really the choices are endless when it comes to being creative with charm bracelets.
