Step 1 – You can either have a big basket or mid sized container or even the special open box as the base in which you will add the gift items. In fact you can buy a special basket which in itself will be a good gift. Then stuff the basket with newspaper or crumpled paper such that the items can be placed on a solid base. Always get some decorative paper or filler to cover the crumpled paper.

Step 2 – Now the select the tallest item in your gifts to be put in basket as the anchor. In most cases I would suggest that you add a bottle of wine as that is generally a very good anchor around which then you can start fitting in things into the basket. The items very next to bottle of wine should the tallest ones and then the next ones should be smaller and going till the smallest. That way every item is visible in the gift hamper.

Step 3 – You can tie these items together with a ribbon. However before doing that make sure that all items in the basket or the container have fitted in properly and if they have not fitted in properly then make sure that these fit in properly by using cellophane tape.
