Appreciate Dad with Father’s Day Food Gifts
Most dads love food, and often throughout the year, everyone else gets their favorites, but what about dad? Father’s Day is the time to remember that Dad has favorites, too, and Father’s Day food gifts can be a great way to show him love and appreciation, whether for a new dad or a dad with grown children in another state.
Special Breakfast for him
Young children take a lot of pride in creating things, especially in the kitchen. Of course, they will need help, but the finished product will be something dad will always remember. Breakfast in bed is always a sure win in the Father’s Day treats department, and by combining his favorites and presenting them with charm, he will love it. Even if no one likes to cook, his favorites can be bought before hand and presented on a tray, maybe with his favorite newspaper and hot cup of coffee. Nothing beats breakfast in bed.
Food gift basket
If cooking is not an option, a gift basket with his favorite foods would be a great Father’s Day gift. The kids can go around with mom and collect dad’s favorites to combine into a yummy gift basket he can munch all day, or all week if he paces himself! Maybe he loves a certain high-end kind of coffee but does not often treat himself – include a bag. Maybe gummy bears or pistachio nuts are his favorites – buy a bunch. Beef jerky or a special hot sauce, good chocolate or his favorite bag of chips, anything he thinks of as a treat or his favorite thing he does not often get would be really special, and by combining them into a gift basket, he can have them all at once. Make sure everyone else keeps their hands out, though!
Another great choice for edible Father’s Day gifts is some of the great mail order food available. Perhaps dad loved his hometown barbecue growing up, since has moved to another city, and never gets to enjoy it. Many restaurants ship their food, and it is a great idea for a really special treat. It is also a great way to appreciate Dad if he lives in another state. Whether he loves ribs, bagels, or red velvet cake, most anything regional can be found online. If he has a special hard to get food that he loves, now is the time to order it and have it shipped to him. Even a little bit of something makes for great Father’s Day treats.
On a special day, food says a lot. Show dad he is loved and appreciated by getting him his favorite food.
