All women and even many men enjoy going to the spa. Facials, manicures, pedicures and massages are sure hard to turn down. After a rough week of dealing with kids and work there is nothing better than just sitting back and getting to relax with the royal treatment. Of course, many people are not able to afford to actually go to the spa.

If you find yourself in this situation or know someone else who is, but who would still love the luxury of spa treatments, you can use home spa gifts and make your own home spa gift basket. This is the perfect delight to give to any one of your friends and even yourself. There are only a few easy steps involved and you will have a gorgeous gift basket with all the best goodies ready to go.

Step1

Start by compiling the different items that will go in the gift basket. Start with shampoos and conditioners. Everyone can use more of these products and they are pretty affordable too. This makes a great starting point for your gift basket. If you know the person well, maybe your sister or best friend, you can take that extra step and find the right hair products based on their hair type.

Step2

Thick cotton facecloths would be a nice addition to the basket as well. These can be used to clean off mud and other facial masks and can also be soaked in water and laid over the eyes to help with dark circles and puffy eyes.

Step3

Epsom salts and bubble bath are another idea. These are products that will help them to enjoy their bath time that much more. Aromatherapy products are ideal for home spa gift baskets. These are therapeutic products that not only smell great they also help boost the immune system and improve one’s overall health.

Depending on the type of essential oils used in the products, you choose they can help relieve menstrual cramps, regulate hormones, improve skin tone and improve sleep. Lavender works to relax and soothe while lemon and jasmine are refreshing and energizing.

Step4

Creams and gels are also nice to include and can be used after they get out of the bath. Look for moisturizing lotions and potions that will replenish and hydrate the skin.

Step5

Now take some cellophane and wrap it loosely around the packages. The ends should meet up at the bottom, underneath the basket itself. Use some tape or a tie to hold the pieces together. The cellophane will protect the gifts in the basket and also make the basket look finished. This is a wonderful gift idea for anyone in your life and the best part is that you can personalize it however you want.

The better you know someone the easier it will be to decide on gifts you know they will love. It feels great giving a gift you know will actually get some use out of it. Everyone wants to be pampered and saving hundreds of dollars to have a spa day at home will make them enjoy your gift that much more.

These lovelies can be so costly though. Read on for some tips on how to make a scented candle gift basket…

Step1

The first things to consider in browsing through your candle choices are the personality of the recipient and your budget.  Remember that candles are just candles.  All are made of wax.  So the brand does not really matter.  Look at the packaging and the materials that come along with it.  By its look alone, you will know if it is quality or not. Buy from reputable stores or dealers only.  And do not easily fall for discounts unless you know the store well or that they guarantee a return or your money back.

Step2

Another way to achieve the best of your scented candle gift basket is to customize one. This way, you can play around your allowable budget and pick the perfect design, color and scent for the person to whom you are giving it to.

Step3

You will need a rattan basket, a wicker basket or some basket reed.  Also you should have some ribbon that complements the color of your candles, some potpourri, cinnamon sticks, shrink wraps, glue gun, glue and candles.  A piece of paper and coffee or tea will make up your label with that little rustic look.

Step5

Work on the bedding of your basket and lay some of the potpourri to avoid the candles from rolling about once you place them on.  Balance the potpourri and the cinnamon sticks around and in between your candles.  Once, you have them properly laid down, wrap the shrink wrap around it and make sure that it is neatly placed before pasting it with the glue gun.

Step6

Next tie a ribbon around or across the wrapped basket and put on the label for the finishing touches.  And voila, you now have a scented candle gift basket.
