Last Christmas I wanted to have something different as part of the Christmas decorations for the house. I wanted to have the stylish high end candle holders as decorations for the house. My wife was opposed to this for her some whacky reasons as for her candle holders was not a modern design idea and rather it will give the living room an antique look. That is how the family decorations take place Huh !

Well I was on a quest to find all about the candle holders and how and where I can get a modern sleek looking candle holder.

Here is what I found out that there are literally a few more common styles that are very popular and then there are some uncommon ones.

Glass candle holders – These are the most common ones and no doubt they have that standard look to them. These do not look antique or old but they are of course not for your uber modern living room.

Personalized votive candle holders – these look very cool as a candle hole gifts or even as a wedding favor but not as the home decoration thing especially for your living room.

Wall candle holders sconces – Sconces plus the wall mounted candle holders looked very good but they have that older times feeling and hence did not gel with our living room décor. All the other metal styles like the typical wrought iron glass holders as well as the brass ones were not even considered.

We already had contemporary wall sconce lighting for our living room and hence we did not want that we have another candle holder on the wall. Well finally we settled on a very modern yet sleek and elegant wire thin candle holder which was long and could be kept on the table or on the side display. They call it the candelabras. Here you go take a look yourself and decide.

In fact we found another one which a pewter style candle holder but then two candle holders would not have worked. I am sure that I am going to pick this pewter style as a Christmas candle gift for someone.
